24-year-old TikTok 'Mukbang' star passes away at 24 due to obesity-related issues
Digital Desk: Turkey-based Efecan Kultur, a TikTok personality known for his extreme-eating ' mukbang' videos, died from obesity-related issues. He was 24.
According to the New York Post, Kultur was well-known for his mukbang streaming, in which he consumed large amounts of food while being filmed.
Kultur died on March 7, Turkiye Today reported, citing a TikTok post. He had spent three months in the hospital battling obesity-related health difficulties.
His last YouTube appearance was eight months ago, and his last mukbang video on TikTok, posted on October 15, showed him mentioning a dietary change—avoiding excess salt as part of an effort to better his health, according to the New York Post.
Kultur then stopped making videos because he was confined to bed owing to serious medical conditions, such as breathing difficulty and bruising.
Before his death, Efecan Kultur's last post included a photo of himself and his caregivers, including his mother, with the message, "Family worship."
The Daily Mail reports that his mother died the previous year.
