Dhaka: Bangladesh Air Force’s jet crashes into school, 27 dead

Digital Desk: 27 people were killed and many more were injured when a Bangladesh Air Force training plane crashed into a Dhaka school on Monday.

The Milestone School and College building in Dhaka's Uttara suburb was the site of the F-7 aircraft crash.

According to reports, the collision also injured 170 individuals. Rescuers raced to transport the injured to the hospital as plumes of black smoke and fire rose from the disaster site.

Witnesses claim that rickshaw vans and other vehicles were used to transport the injured students to hospitals. An investigation has been launched into the matter.

The government of Bangladesh has declared a one-day state of mourning.
