According to reports, Jungkook's donation would be split into two halves. 500 million KRW would be allocated to an emergency relief fund to assist people who have lost their houses in the flames. The remaining 500 million KRW will be used to support firemen on the front lines.
"I hope my donation will help people who are going through difficult times." I hope that the victims and firefighters can return to their normal lives soon," Jungkook stated in a press statement issued by HYBE.
According to reports, the wildfire has already destroyed more than 45,000 hectares (111,197 acres) of forest area in the country's southern region.
Previously, Suga donated to the Korean Red Cross. On the other side, RM and J-Hope each gave 100 million KRW to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.
