Myanmar Earthquake Impact: Building collapses in Chatuchak, Bangkok
Digital Desk: Tragic - On Friday, a powerful 7.7 Richter Scale earthquake rattled Thailand's Bangkok, causing a high-rise building to collapse.
The video showed the tall edifice falling to dust and releasing massive clouds of debris into the air. As panic spread throughout the area, shocked residents were spotted running for safety.

Just experienced a 7.7 strength #earthquake in #Bangkok for close to 3 minutes. Its epicenter was Mandalay, Myanmar, over 1200 kms from here.

According to the US Geological Survey and Germany's GFZ geosciences center, the midday temblor was shallow, measuring 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), and had epicenters in neighboring Myanmar.
