Nepal: Curfew imposed in Kathmandu district as clashes erupt over social media ban
Digital Desk: Following altercations between protesters and police over the government's ban on social media, authorities in Nepal enforced a curfew in Kathmandu until 10 p.m. To stop additional disturbances, security has been increased throughout the capital.

According to Nepal Police, a large protest in Kathmandu turned violent, resulting in the deaths of at least nine individuals. As protesters gathered in opposition to the government's recent ban on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms, the turmoil broke out. Protesters and security personnel clashed as the situation worsened.
