Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand has been crowned Miss World 2025
Digital Desk: Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri has won the 72nd Miss World pageant. Notably, the crowning of Miss World 2025 was done by Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova at the final ceremony on May 31 at Hyderabad's HITEX Exhibition Centre.
Opal Suchata Chuangsri, who grew up in Phuket, is both an international relations student and a model.
She is an outspoken campaigner for breast cancer awareness. At the age of 16, she discovered a benign lump in her breast, which prompted her to improve breast cancer awareness and early detection in Thailand.
Opal donned a glittering gown to the Miss World 2025 finale. She described it as a tribute to the tremendous journey of 'Opal For HER', which was inspired by the gem's traits of beauty, tenacity, and change.
This year, 108 participants from around the world competed in the renowned beauty competition. India was represented by model Nandini Gupta. She made it to the top 20 in the Miss World 2025 competition.
Stephanie del Valle (Miss World 2016) and Sachiin Kumbhar co-hosted the 72nd Miss World finale in traditional Indian lehengas. Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter delivered spectacular performances at the main event.
The 72nd Miss World pageant's judging panel includes actress Sonu Sood, who was also honored with the Miss World Humanitarian Award. Sudha Reddy, the 2025 Global Ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose, additionally appeared as a judge.
Dr. Caryna Turrell, Miss England 2014 and a public health physician at the University of Cambridge, was also on the panel. Krystyna Pyszkova, Miss World 2024, also participated in the selection of her successor. Julia Morley CBE, Miss World's Chairwoman, presided over the jury.
Manushi Chhillar, the former Miss World, as well as actors Rana Daggubati and Namrata Shirodkar, attended the event. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana chief minister, also attended the ceremony. Actor and politician Chiranjeevi also attended the Miss World 2025 finale.
This is India's second consecutive year hosting the Miss World contest. The 71st edition of the contest took place in Mumbai.
