Shillong Court Denies Bail to Raj Kushwaha in Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case

Digital Desk: The Shillong district and sessions court has rejected the bail plea of Raj Kushwaha, one of the co-accused in the high-profile Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.

Raj Kushwaha is among the key accused in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, the Indore-based businessman who was found dead during his honeymoon in Meghalaya in May last year.

The Shillong court, which had earlier reserved its order on Kushwaha’s bail application, has now declined to grant him relief.

The case has seen several developments in recent days. While Kushwaha’s plea has been rejected, the prime accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi — wife of the deceased — was earlier granted bail by the same court.
Police investigations have indicated that the murder was allegedly premeditated, with multiple accused named in the charge sheet, including Kushwaha.

The rejection of Kushwaha’s bail plea means he will remain in judicial custody as the trial progresses.
