Tension Escalates; Israel Targets Iran's Nuclear, Airstrikes in Military Area

Digital Desk: In a dramatic escalation of regional tensions, Israel has carried out targeted airstrikes on multiple nuclear and military sites inside Iran. It is to be mentioned that the airstrike killed key Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists in a massive attack that increases worries of a regional war.

In a pre-recorded video statement broadcast early Friday morning, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that strikes were targeted at damaging Iran's nuclear facilities and ballistic missile production.

In an additional statement, the Israeli army announced that 200 fighter jets had struck over 100 targets around the country. Israeli strikes have been confirmed in at least eight locations surrounding Iran, including the capital Tehran, Iran's major uranium enrichment center in Natanz, and a nuclear research facility in Tabriz.

Initial reports indicate damage to several sites, though Iran has not confirmed the full impact. The moves follow rising tensions between the two nations and have sparked international concern, with calls for restraint from global leaders.

Civilians near the strike zones reported loud explosions and fear of further conflict as the region braces for possible retaliation.
