Tripura’s TTAADC Welcomes Runiel Debbarma as New CEM

Digital Desk: A new phase in the administrative functioning of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council began with the swearing-in of new leadership on Wednesday at the Council Bhawan in Khumulwng.

Runiel Debbarma took office as the Chief Executive Member (CEM), with Chandra Kumar Jamatia serving as an Executive Member (EM). Following the ceremony, Debbarma stated that the primary focus of the new administration will be the holistic development of the Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas.

He expressed a commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to him, emphasizing sincerity, dedication, and integrity, and highlighted that the welfare of the Tiprasa community is central to their governance agenda.

Debbarma pointed out that, despite financial constraints, various developmental initiatives had been implemented across the ADC areas in the past five years. He acknowledged, however, the persistence of numerous challenges that require attention.

Stressing the importance of financial support, Debbarma indicated that increased funding is essential for addressing the existing issues. He mentioned his intention to appeal to both the Central Government and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for additional financial assistance, aimed at accelerating development within the region.
