Trump, Zelensky, and Vance engage in a heated confrontation in Oval Office
Digital Desk: On Friday, President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a heated exchange in the Oval Office of the White House. According to sources, the Ukrainian team was subsequently asked to depart the White House, leaving the formal lunch with the President untouched.
The meeting, their first since Trump took office in January, began with handshakes and smiles but quickly escalated when US Vice President JD Vance emphasized the importance of diplomacy in resolving the Russia- Ukraine conflict, which erupted after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion in 2022.

US President Donald Trump then wrote on social media that Volodymyr Zelensky "can come back when he is ready for peace."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio then urged Zelensky to apologise for his confrontation with Trump.
However, Volodymyr Zelensky refused to apologize for his disagreement with Donald Trump.
However, the 47-year-old expressed regret that the dispute occurred in front of media.
He also stated that his relationship with the United States can be mended.
US-Ukrainian relations are about "more than two presidents," he said, adding that Ukraine urgently requires Washington's assistance in its struggle against Russia.
