Trump said making arrangements for a Putin-Zelensky meet
Digital Desk: President Donald Trump said on Monday that he has begun preparations for a face-to-face meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to examine a possible road to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Trump made the announcement after speaking with Putin over the phone while hosting Zelensky and other prominent European officials at the White House to discuss his peace initiative.
The meetings were marked by uneasiness in Europe, with concerns that Trump could drive Ukraine into concessions that might bolster Putin.
