Two earthquakes jolted Afghanistan- NCS reports
Digital Desk: The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported two earthquakes in Afghanistan on Saturday.
The most recent earthquake occurred with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale on 19th July, 2025, at 11:14 IST , with Lat: 36.28 N, Long: 71.26 E and a depth of 125 km
According to NCS, another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 hit Afghanistan on Saturday. In a post on X, the NCS said the earthquake occurred at 01:26:19 IST, Lat: 36.48 N, Long: 70.85 E, Depth: 190 Km,
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), Afghanistan remains extremely vulnerable to natural catastrophes such as seasonal flooding, landslides, and earthquakes.
