Digital Desk: An arrest warrant has been issued for Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in connection with an alleged scam by a Punjab court.
A court in Ludhiana, Punjab, has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood for allegedly evading summons in a Rs 10 lakh fraud.
Rajesh Khanna, a Ludhiana-based lawyer, has filed the complaint, which involves an alleged Rs 10 lakh scam. The lawyer claims that Mohit Shukla, the primary accused, duped him into investing in a bogus Rijika coin. Despite being called to testify in the case, Sonu Sood did not show up. A court magistrate from Ludhiana named Ramanpreet Kaur then issued the warrant.
The next hearing in this case will take place on February 10.

You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court," the order stated as reported by news agency ANI.
Just days before the arrest warrant was issued, Sonu Sood met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday and gave four ambulances to help enhance the state's medical facilities.
