Manisha Koirala gets honorary doctorate from University of Bradford

Digital Desk: The University of Bradford has awarded an honorary doctorate to actor Manisha Koirala. Koirala, known for iconic parts in films such as 'Dil Se..', revealed that her education was obtained through real-world experiences rather than traditional means, referring to herself as a 'student of life.'

She shared a video from the ceremony on Instagram, writing, "Today, I received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bradford." I stand here not as someone who received traditional schooling, but as someone who learnt from life - through hard labor, failure, tenacity, and service (sic)."

She expressed her gratitude, saying, "This honour means more than I can put into words. It demonstrates that no matter where you start, your journey is important.

Along with this professional milestone, Manisha remembered her late grandmother, Sushila Koirala, in an emotional memorial shared the day before. Manisha remembered her grandma as her 'first teacher,' writing, "Offering deepest tribute to mother Susila, who raised me, taught me the values of life, and laid the foundation of who I am today."

She also shared two images in memory of her grandma, a renowned classical dancer and theatrical director who died on July 13, 2007, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
