Digital Desk: On May 18th, a significant milestone in cricket history was achieved with the inauguration of the Assam Cricket Museum at the 91 Yards Club within the ACA Stadium Complex in Barsapara, Guwahati. This momentous occasion was marked by the official launch of a documentary titled “The Golden Innings – Legacy of Assam Cricket.” The inauguration was conducted by the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, alongside prominent figures such as BCCI Honorary Secretary Shri Devajit Saikia and ACA President Shri Taranga Gogoi, as well as a host of former cricketers and officials from the Assam Cricket Association.
The documentary serves as a tribute to the evolution of cricket in Assam, chronicling its history through significant achievements and the pivotal contributions of illustrious cricketers and administrators over the years.
