Assam Tourism’s iconic Rhino logo creator Amulya Baruah passes away
Digital Desk: Visionary logo design creator of Assam Tourism and the Assam State Transport Corporation's (ASTC) original and renowned one-horned rhino logos and prominent person Amulya Baruah, passed away on May 3 suffering from stroke.
Baruah, a worldwide renowned creative and graphic designer from India, created the ASTC logo while still a student at the Sir JJ School of Art in Mumbai.
Amulya Baruah, who was originally from Digboi, had spent decades in London. He is survived by his wife Lily, a Thai royal scion, and their son Jasper.
A. Baruah, a Cotton College alumnus, has led design campaigns for a number of prominent multinational businesses throughout the years, achieving global recognition for his unique artistic vision and creative prowess.
A significant loss for Assam, which is still symbolized by his classic designs, his departure signifies the end of an era in the field of design.
