Digital Desk: Alia Bhatt made headlines last year with her stunning presence at the Met Gala, and the Bollywood diva is now preparing to attend yet another renowned international event.
Alia stole the show at the Met Gala in 2024, channeling her inner desi princess in a stunning bejeweled Sabyasachi saree. She appeared like a modern-day Indian princess, dressed in pastels and embellished with complex designs. As she strolled with confidence, the photographers couldn't get enough of her stunning 23-foot-long train, making her stand out on the huge red carpet.
After much speculation, Alia has now formally announced her upcoming major international event. During a recent media appearance in Mumbai, she pleased fans by revealing her highly anticipated debut at the renowned Cannes Film Festival 2025.
"I am looking forward to it," she stated.
The 78th Cannes International Film Festival will be held from May 13 to 24, 2025. Over the years, several Indian celebrities have graced the Cannes red carpet, including Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Aishwarya Rai.
Alia Bhatt, who will turn 32 on March 15, gathered with the media to celebrate her upcoming birthday and cut a cake with them. Ranbir Kapoor, her husband and actor, was also present and took photos with the media.
