Firing at Disha Patani’s Bareilly home, Goldy Brar gang claims responsibility

Digital Desk: After Salman Khan and Kapil Sharma, Disha Patani’s house becomes the new target, according to the police, the two suspects on a motorbike fired two rounds at Bollywood actor Disha Patani's home in Bareilly's Civil Lines early on Friday morning before escaping.

The Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang took responsibility for the incident and claimed that the attack was motivated by disrespect for "spiritual figures."

Disha's mother, Padma Patani, father, Jagdish Patani, a retired DSP, and sister, Khushboo Patani, a former army officer, were all in the house when the shooting occurred. There were no reported injuries.

The police found two empty cartridges outside a residence after receiving information from Jagdish Patani. To protect the family while the investigation is being conducted, security personnel have been stationed at the property.

In a Facebook post, the Godara-Brar gang took credit for the assault. According to the post, Disha and her sister's disparaging remarks about seers Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj allegedly prompted the dismissal.

"This is only a trailer," the post stated. Nobody will be spared the next time someone disrespects our religion. The gang also cautioned that the entire film industry and its associates were the target of this message, not just the Patani family.

We are willing to do whatever it takes to protect our faith," the post warned. For us, society and dharma are one, and protecting them is our top priority.

The post, which made it clear that any offence to religious feelings would not be accepted, tagged a number of criminal organisations and known criminals, including Monu Group, AP Group, Kala Rana, Naresh Sethi, Tinu Haryana, and Amarjeet Bishnoi.

Anurag Arya, the senior superintendent of police for Bareilly, confirmed that the shooting occurred at approximately 4:30 in the morning and that the crime branch has been tasked with handling the case.

"Alerts about gangster Goldy Brar and his network have been issued, and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed. To find and capture the attackers, five teams have been established, the SSP said.

"A complaint has been filed, and the investigation is moving along quickly. Complete protection is being given to the families," Arya said.
