Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Congratulates Jumde Yomgam Gamlin on receiving Padma Shri Award
Digital Desk: Jumde Yomgam Gamlin (59) from Arunachal Pradesh better known as "Nasha-Mukti ki Nayika", for the past three decades has worked diligently for drug prohibition and social transformation in her community.
Gamlin working for a greater vision formed Mother's Vision NGO, which led anti-drug efforts with local women's cooperation. Marijuana and opium growing were eradicated in the Geku and Katan regions under her supervision.
Jumde Y. Gamlin for her notable work was awarded with the prestigious Padma Shri.
Taking the joy to now 'X' handle, Arunachal CM Pema Khandu congratulated Smt Jumde Yomgam Gamlin Ji on receiving the prestigious Padma Shri award. He captioned his post stating, "Your incredible work in drug de-addiction, rehabilitation, and women empowerment has brought hope and transformation to countless lives. A proud moment for our state!"
Gamlin through her notable work from her NGO empowered more than 700 individuals to overcome addiction and circulated public health awareness. She also gave hope to 2000+ women by giving them vocational training programs and helping them get financial assistance.
