Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, after Ganesan's demise, was given additional charge as Nagaland Governor

Digital Desk: In a statement released by the President's office, Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla was assigned additional responsibility as the Nagaland Governor on Saturday.

Interestingly, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, the governor of Manipur at the moment, is a retired Indian bureaucrat and IAS officer.

The vacancy of the post follows the demise of Governor La Ganesan. 

A Raj Bhavan official in Kohima said that Ganesan, 80, passed away on Friday while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Chennai.
