Case registered against Shyamkanu Mahanta; ED to interrogate him while in custody
Digital Desk: In the latest development in Zubeen Garg’s death investigation, ED (Enforcement Directorate) has filed a case against Shyamkanu Mahanta and intends to interview him while in custody.
According to sources, the ED is currently scrutinizing several files seized from Mahanta's apartment.
During the operation, officials discovered several phony seals as well as various objectionable documents suspected of being related to financial irregularities and other questionable activity.
The inquiry is ongoing as the ED examines the confiscated materials for more evidence.
Furthermore, Shyamkanu Mahanta dropped his appeal to the Supreme Court on 8th October, 2025, through his lawyer. Earlier, his case was not heard by the Supreme Court due to procedural flaws.
