Heavy Rainfall likely in Assam; Guwahati to receive rain and thunderstorms

Digital Desk: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting moderate to heavy rainfall across several northeastern states. Moderate rain is expected in most places in Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura, while light to moderate rain is expected in Mizoram.

There will probably be one or two spells of rain or thunder storms along with a mainly cloudy sky in Guwahati. It is anticipated that the temperature would peak at about 33°C and fall to about 26°C.

Residents have been advised by the IMD to exercise caution and keep abreast of localized lightning, thunderstorms, and heavy precipitation. Additionally, it suggests using government apps like "Damini" for lightning alerts, "Mausam" for real-time predictions, and "Meghdoot" for agrometeorological advisories.
