Digital Desk: In a startling incident, on Wednesday night (local time), a restaurant owned by well-known comedian Kapil Sharma was attacked by gunfire in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
According to the report, the shooting at the restaurant, KAP'S CAFE was carried out by Harjit Singh, also known as Laddi, a member of the outlawed terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and a top-wanted terrorist on the radar of India's National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Laddi's statement claims that Kapil Sharma's alleged remarks were the reason for the firing.

Reports state that multiple rounds were fired at the location. The area was immediately cordoned off by local police, who are now looking into what happened.
Following reports of the incident, Surrey Police issued an official statement stating that officers were sent to the 8400 block of 120 Street at around 1:50 am (local time). Officers arrived and verified that the business premises had been damaged by bullets that had been fired there. Staff members were inside the building when the incident occurred, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.
According to the statement, Surrey Police officers gathered evidence, obtained the scene, and started searching the area for witnesses and surveillance footage.
The Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team has now taken over the case and is spearheading the current inquiry. Authorities are currently investigating potential motives for the shooting as well as any connections to other incidents. There is currently no suspect information that can be made public.
Additionally, videos of the incident have surfaced on social media. The comedian has yet to address the incident in public.
Authorities are investigating whether the shooting was part of a wider pattern of intimidation by pro-Khalistan extremists operating abroad or if it was a personal threat.
