Rohit Sharma bids adieu to test cricket

Digital Desk: ‘Hitman’ Rohit Sharma, on Wednesday, announced his retirement from Test cricket through his social media.

The top batsman made it plain that he would only play in the ODI format going forward when he made the announcement on his Instagram story. Following the 2024 T20 World Cup, Rohit announced his retirement from the T20I format.

"Hello everyone I would just like to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. It's been an absolute honour to represent my country in whites,” Rohit stated in an Instagram story.

Rohit is retiring from Test cricket as one of India’s most successful Test batsmen, amassing 4301 runs at an average of 40.57 in 67 Test matches, including 12 hundreds and 18 half-centuries.
