Veteran actor 'Roti, Kapada Aur Makaan' fame Manoj Kumar dies at 87
Digital Desk: Manoj Kumar, a veteran actor and filmmaker, passed away on Friday at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was eighty-seven.
Kumar was sent to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, where he died of cardiac issues. According to the medical report issued by the hospital, decompensated liver cirrhosis was the secondary cause of death.
Confirming the tragic news of Manoj Kumar's death after fighting health problems for a long time, his son, Kunal Goswami, stated, "He passed away at roughly 3.30 am." The actor's home in Juhu will house his remains.
Moreover, Manoj Kumar's patriotic flicks were well-known; to mention a few, his popular films are "Purab Aur Paschim," "Kranti," and "Roti, Kapada Aur Makaan."
Additionally, his son stated that the cremation will be held tomorrow at Pawan Hans Crematorium on Saturday at approximately noon.
Actor Manoj Kumar's wife, who is also now said to be unwell, is also; his sons and wife survive him. The family postponed the final ceremonies until a few relatives returned from overseas.
It is to be mentioned that 'Bharat Kumar' was the nickname given to Manoj Kumar because of his popular nationalistic flicks. In addition to seven Filmfare awards, he received a National Film Award.
