Women's World Cup 2025: ICC announces cheapest-ever ticket price for Rs 100

Digital Desk: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that ticket sales for the Women’s World Cup 2025, scheduled to commence on September 30, began on Thursday, September 4. The tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, with the opening match featuring India against Sri Lanka at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

In an effort to encourage attendance and reflect the growing popularity of women's cricket, the ICC has made tickets available for all league matches at record-low prices, starting at Rs 100 (approximately USD 1.14) for the initial phase.

Prior to the curtain-raiser ceremony, famous Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform at the Grand Opening Ceremony in Guwahati to add even more grandeur to the occasion.

Moreover, Uma Chetry has been named by India to replace Yastika Bhatia, who is injured, for the three-match ODI series against Australia and the World Cup. When India was in Vizag for their preparatory camp, Bhatia hurt her left knee.

After a 12-year break, the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will return to India in 2025. Four Indian cities—Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Navi Mumbai—as well as Colombo, Sri Lanka, will host the tournament.
