Archery World C’ship: History created by India, bags 1st ever Gold medal in Compound Men's team event

Digital Desk: The Indian men's compound team won their first gold medal at the World Archery Championships in Gwangju, South Korea, on Sunday.

Rishabh Yadav, Aman Saini, and Prathamesh Fuge defeated the French team in the final set, winning the gold medal match 235-233.

Both teams were initially tied, but a superb set of 59 from India put the French team under pressure, and they ultimately shot 57, giving India its first gold medal of the event.

This was India's second gold medal match of the day, following the mixed compound team final, in which Rishabh Yadav and Jyothi Surekha Vennam lost against the Netherlands.
