Both teams were initially tied, but a superb set of 59 from India put the French team under pressure, and they ultimately shot 57, giving India its first gold medal of the event.
This was India's second gold medal match of the day, following the mixed compound team final, in which Rishabh Yadav and Jyothi Surekha Vennam lost against the Netherlands.
