Assam: Student in Cachar brutally attacked; refusal to cheat cited as the reason
Digital Desk: The Bam Bidyapith High School examination center in Cachar, Assam, has revealed a horrifying violent event in which a student was viciously attacked for refusing to assist classmates in cheating on the current high school exams.
According to sources, the event happened on Thursday when an HSLC exam participant named Rajib Hussain was coerced by other test takers to let them copy from his answer sheet.
After Rajib adamantly objected, a furious dispute broke out within the testing room.
Although the invigilators managed to diffuse the tension at the time, the situation took a violent turn after the exam ended.
As soon as Rajib stepped out of the examination center, he was allegedly surrounded by a group of students who launched a vicious attack on him, which left Rajib severely injured.
Following the shocking attack, Rajib's parents filed a formal complaint at Dholai Police Station against the prime accused, Gule Ahmed, and eight others involved in the assault.
Meanwhile, the police have since launched an investigation into the matter.
