BCCI honoring ops 'SINDOOR' extends invitation for the IPL 2025 finals to Chiefs of all three Armed forces
Digital Desk: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 closing ceremony would pay honor to India's military forces. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited the Chief of Defence Staff, as well as the Chiefs of Army Staff, Navy Staff, and Air Staff, to aIPL closing ceremony on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
"The Board salutes our armed services for their bravery, courage, and selfless devotion during Operation Sindoor, which continues to protect and inspire the nation." As an honor, the BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, has decided to dedicate the closing ceremony to the military services.
The celebration is expected to include a musical ceremony after a performance by the military bands, which will heighten the patriotic spirit.
The BCCI has been honoring the armed personnel for their unwavering bravery in defending the country ever since the IPL returned after a week-long break due to Operation Sindoor.
The IPL was temporarily suspended for a week owing to tensions, causing the BCCI to reschedule the event. The final, which was initially slated for May 26 in Kolkata, has been moved to June 3 in Ahmedabad.
Furthermore, while the Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Mumbai Indians have secured their places in the knockout rounds, the attention remains on which two teams will finish in the top two, giving them a significant advantage in the race to the apex clashes.
