BTC Poll 2025: UPPL Chief Pramod Boro files nomination from Dotma
Digital Desk: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections scheduled for September 22 witness a great hustle and bustle. The incumbent BTC Chief Executive Member (CEM) and President of the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), Pramod Boro, submitted his nomination on Tuesday from the Dotma constituency.
Thousands of UPPL supporters flocked to Kokrajhar for the nomination rally, which quickly became a huge gathering of strength. In an effort to demonstrate unity within the ruling party, Assam Cabinet Minister UG Brahma also accompanied the party president.
Khampa Borgoyari, a senior UPPL leader, joined the race from the Deborgaon constituency, strengthening the party's grassroots support.
Boro filed papers from Tamulpur's Goibari constituency on Monday, marking his second nomination and the UPPL's election plan to run for another term in office. This move is viewed as a calculated attempt to increase the party's base of support.
