Bomb threat received by Delhi HC; Lawyers and Judges vacate premises
Digital Desk: The majority of judges at the Delhi High Court were forced to rise abruptly at approximately 11.40 am on Friday after receiving a bomb threat email.
At 10.41 am, the Delhi High Court allegedly sent an email to the registrar general's and other officials' official email addresses threatening a bombing in the "judge chambers".
The email, which was allegedly sent from an account using the name Kanimozhi Thevidiya, claimed that someone had gotten in touch with Pakistan's ISI to plot to replicate the 1998 Patna explosions and included illogical political allusions.
It stated, "The fundamental tenet is that in order to oppose the BJP and RSS, secular parties must tolerate corruption and family dynasty politics. When Rahul Gandhi and Udhayanidhi, the heirs, are kept out of power, they become disinterested in opposing the RSS.
The email asserted that "thus, in order to create a new evolution of secular leadership, the bottlenecks of the equation, the heir apparent, will be eliminated so that the pseudo-secularists will leave and only dedicated secularists will come to party power."
The message also suggested that "Dr. Ezhilan Naganathan take over the DMK" and warned that "Inbanidhi Udhayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin," would be subjected to an acid attack this week.
"The Police's assets have been sown since 2017 for this Holy Friday," the email stated menacingly. For instance, today's blast in your Delhi High Court will dispel any doubt regarding earlier bluffs. Shortly after the midday Islamic prayers, the Judge Chamber will explode.
According to sources, Delhi HC Bar Association President N. Hariharan, court employees, and security guards began leaving at 12:20 p.m. in order to "search the premises".
Furthermore, it asserted that "a talented and influential young Shia Muslim, Dr. Shah Faesal, has successfully established connections with Pakistan's ISI cells in Coimbatore to recreate the 1998 blasts today in Patna." In order to allegedly access the locations of IED devices and defuse codes, the mail even included a contact name and phone number.
BR Gavai, India's Chief Justice, requested a report on the Delhi and Bombay High Court's bomb threat case. Supreme Court sources claim that the chief justice has requested that the Supreme Court's secretary general take the report. Sources claim that CJI Gavai keeps an eye on the security setups and events in the High Courts.
According to a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official, at 12:25 p.m., they got a call about a bomb threat at the High Court.
The teams of the Bomb Detection Team (BDT), Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), and Dog Squad, as well as the fire department staff, were dispatched shortly after receiving the call from the High Court. There is a check taking place," the policeman stated.
