Himachal Pradesh flood relief efforts underway; Assam CM Sarma extends Rs 5 crore aid
Digital Desk: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced Rs 5 crore in financial aid to help Himachal Pradesh with its ongoing flood relief and rehabilitation projects. CM also showed support for the hill state devastated by flooding.

350 people have been killed, and extensive damage, including landslides, flash floods, and house collapses, has been caused, forcing families to relocate, according to the Himachal Pradesh State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC).
Additionally, water and power supplies are interrupted, and many schools have been announced to close down. Moreover, with an estimated damage of Rs 3,523 crore, the state is in danger, as it has been reported to have faced in recent years.
