India set to elect its Vice President tomorrow

Digital Desk: India is set to elect its next Vice President tomorrow, with the voting and counting process scheduled to take place on the same day in Parliament House.

The Election Commission is in charge of the proceedings, and the results are expected soon after the polls close.

It is important to note that on July 21, the first day of Parliament's monsoon session, Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned, leaving the Vice President position empty.

Additionally, the Parliament House complex will host the vice presidential election tomorrow. Voting is scheduled to begin between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and counting will begin at 6:00 PM.

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members will cast their votes during the day, and the Returning Officer will oversee the final count and result announcement shortly thereafter.

CP Radhakrishnan, the governor of Maharashtra and a senior BJP politician, is the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for vice president. He will face Justice (Retd.) B. Sudershan Reddy, who is supported by the INDIA group.

The election's outcome will be decided by votes from both Houses of Parliament, utilizing the single transferable vote system and proportional representation.
