Candlelight for justice-Sohra Comes Together To Pay Glowing Tribute To Raja Raghuvanshi

Digital Desk: The people of Sohra on Tuesday paid tribute to murdered Indore tourist Raja Raghuvanshi and issued an ultimatum to national media houses to tender a public apology within 24 hours for misrepresenting Meghalaya and its people.

Thousands of residents of Meghalaya came together for a candlelight vigil, paying tribute to Raja Raghuvanshi, whose life was tragically cut short during a honeymoon trip.

Authorities allege that Raja was murdered by his own beloved wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and three of her accomplices.

As the flames flickered in mourning, another fire burned quietly among the crowd. Many speakers and attendees voiced deep concern over how the incident has portrayed the tourist place in social media.

As the candles slowly melted into the night and the crowd began to disperse, one thing remained clear: This was more than a vigil. It was a collective act of remembrance, resilience, and a plea for dignity.

Through the candlelight march, the locals delivered a clear message to visitors, standing firm against falsehoods and vowing to welcome tourists with great hospitality, assisting them to see its breathtaking waterfalls, ancient caves, folklore, and unrivaled warmth of its people.
