Digital Desk: Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2025: RCB defeated CSK by 50 runs on Friday, breaking a 17-year drought at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK lost seven wickets for just 99 runs. Even though MS Dhoni gave his team a late boost with two sixes and a four in the last over, it was still far from enough when he arrived with his team requiring 98 runs off 28 balls.

With 41 runs, Rachin Ravindra led CSK in scoring, but the team never bounced back from falling to 8/2 in the second over thanks to early wickets from Josh Hazlewood, who also dismissed Rahul Tripathi and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Captain Rajat Patidar was the only RCB player to reach a half-century, while CSK's Noor Ahmad claimed three wickets, including vital dismissals of Virat Kohli and Phil Salt.

After dismissing Suryakumar Yadav in CSK's opening match against Mumbai, MS Dhoni added to his arsenal of incredible wicketkeeping skills with a lightning-fast stumping to remove Salt in the match.
