Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi Visits India
Digital Desk: India and China are actively working to mend their strained bilateral relations, signaling a push towards normalizing ties and fostering greater stability between the two Asian giants.
This development comes amid an uncertain and protectionist environment due to US President Donald Trump's policies, which seem to have encouraged both countries to explore closer economic and diplomatic cooperation.
As part of the efforts to repair ties, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, marking his first visit to China in seven years.
During the summit, Modi is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, building on the momentum generated during their previous meeting in Kazan, Russia.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has arrived in India for a two-day visit, where he will hold the 24th round of border talks with India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to discuss border issues and strengthen bilateral ties.
