Dengue outbreak in Arunachal's Namsai- reports

Digital Desk: An abrupt increase in dengue cases has been reported in the Chongkham block in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh, according to an official.

The official stated that daily surveillance and monitoring reports from the district's medical facilities led to the detection of the increase in dengue cases.

In a public advisory, Namsai deputy commissioner CR Khampa stated that the district administration of Namsai has designated Chongkham block as a "Dengue Outbreak block" in order to prevent the disease from spreading further due to the increasing number of positive cases.

Advisories have been released in the public interest to control and stop dengue's spread.

In order to prevent water stagnation in the surrounding areas, residents have been advised to promptly clean the drainage system, fill potholes, get a blood test, see a doctor right away if they have a fever, apply insect repellent creams when they are outside, wear full-sleeved shirts, full pants, and socks, and cover their infants with mosquito nets while they sleep to prevent mosquito bites.
