Digital Desk: The breakfast option on 'Indian Dabba' has always been a major mystery, the journey from homely made roti-sabji to delighted western cooked meals. What always entices Indian culture food has always been the spice-loaded breakfasts, which now are making entries and grabbing the international spotlight.

TasteAtlas, the global food ranking authority has recently made a big announcement delighting desi food lovers all over the World. TasteAtlas has unveiled its list of the Top 50 Breakfasts in the World. The three Indian icons that have made it to the list are- Misal, Chole Bhature, and the ever-dependable Paratha.

TasteAtlas' Top 50 Entries

Misal- A Maharashtra staple, ranked #18 globally is a spicy, sprout-based curry typically served with pav, farsan, onions, and a squeeze of lime.

Iconic Chole Bhature- Ranked #32, this fluffy fried bread is served with sour chickpeas drenched under strong homemade masala gravy. It has long been Delhi's go-to breakfast meal.

The Gol 'Paratha'- Parathas, a North Indian classic, is relished with a variety of side dishes across the country. Parathas ranked #23, are typically served with curd, pickle, or a scoop of butter. And there's no doubt that parathas are a traditional desi breakfast option.

Indian food making it BIG

The TasteAtlas ranking is based on audience votes and expert reviews, making it a bit of a global popularity poll.

That Indian street breakfasts have elbowed their way into a list often dominated by European and East Asian staples is telling. People are waking up (literally) to the vibrancy of Indian mornings.
