Digital Desk: Good news for Tesla lovers! Tesla Model Y has been launched in India, with a starting price of Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This coincides with the opening of the brand's first showroom in India, at Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex.
Along with this, the firm has started the booking process for its current model in the country, as well as announced the installation of superchargers.

Furthermore, the business claims it would first deploy superchargers in Mumbai and Delhi.
In India, the company has introduced the car in RWD (rear-wheel drive) and long-range RWD configurations.
Pricing Details of Tesla Y -
The RWD model starts at Rs 59.89 lakh, while the long-range model costs Rs 67.89 lakh. This comes in an on-road cost of Rs 61.07 lakh for the RWD model. In contrast, the long-range model costs Rs 69.15 lakh on the road.
Furthermore, the company offers several customization options and add-ons that may affect on-road pricing. Customers who want to install FSD (full self-driving) would have to spend an additional Rs 6 lakh.
Furthermore, the standard variant would contain an "Administration and Service Fee" of Rs 50,000, which includes 18% GST.

In India, the Tesla Model Y with rear-wheel drive comes with a 60 kWh or larger 75 kWh battery pack. The single electric motor that powers the RWD version produces about 295 horsepower.

Moreover, the long-range version of the battery claims a range of 622 km, whereas the 60 kWh battery claims a WLTP range of 500 km on a single charge.
Two interior trim levels and seven exterior colors will be offered for the Tesla Model Y in India. In addition, the car will have a fixed glass roof, a power rear liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats and steering column, a 15.4-inch infotainment display (front), an 8-inch rear screen, and 19-inch crossflow wheels.
