Finance Minister Sitharaman set for 4-day Meghalaya visit

 

Digital Desk: Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, will visit Meghalaya for four days from July 10 to 13, 2025.

The Polo Shopping Complex will be inaugurated on July 10 to kick off the visit, and then there will be a meeting in Shillong under the Project Monitoring Information System (PMIS).

Sitharaman will lay the foundation for the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) campus and officially launch the Northeast Conclave during her visit to the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma to also be present as the Guest of Honour.

The Minister is scheduled to visit a number of stakeholder groups and attend a number of programs during her tour in order to examine development projects and engage with beneficiaries from a variety of industries.

Sitharaman will also meet with recipients of the Payment for Ecosystem Services Program at Siej Village.

One of the 96 designated Vibrant Villages, Sohbar Village, will host a public presentation to wrap up the tour. On July 13, Sitharaman will end her visit to Meghhalaya with a visit to the Ram Krishna Ashram School in Sohra.
