IMD predicts rain and thunderstorms in the Northeast region

 

Digital Desk: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Northeast India will likely see rains, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds over the next five days, beginning March 11.

Arunachal Pradesh: From March 11 to March 15, there is expected to be widespread mild to moderate rainfall and snowfall, as well as thunderstorms and lightning. Isolated severe rain is also expected from March 11 to March 17, with particularly heavy rain on March 13.

Assam and Meghalaya: From March 11 to March 15, there is a chance of thunderstorms, mild to moderate rain, and gusty winds (30 to 50 km/h).

Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura: Light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and wind (between 30 and 40 km/h) are expected from March 11 to March 16.
