IPL 2025-RCB vs RR: Virat Kohli sets a new record with 3500 T20 runs on home ground
Digital Desk: Virat Kohli made history by being the first player to score 3500 or more runs at just one stadium. Kohli accomplished the feat during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match on Thursday, April 24, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Kohli achieved the milestone in Bengaluru in just his 105th innings.
Kohli, who was born in Delhi, is also one of only 6 T20 hitters who have scored more than 3000 runs at a single venue. The other players are Mushfiqur Rahim, James Vince, Alex Hales, Tamim Iqbal, and Mahmudullah Riyad.
Kohli has been in fantastic form during the current IPL season. Earlier, in the encounter against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium, Kohli became the second-fastest batter to reach 13000 runs in T20s, doing so in his 386th innings.
