Digital Desk: India nearly pulled off a historic run chase on Day 5 of the exciting third Test at Lord's, but England won by a slim margin of 22 runs.

A slice of bad luck undid Mohammed Siraj, and that gave England the opportunity to finish the comeback with a historic 22-run victory at Lord's and take a 2-1 series lead heading to Manchester.

Ravindra Jadeja finished with the highest score of 61 and remained undefeated.

The game was won by England thanks to three wickets apiece from Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer in the second innings.

India showed some resilience in the morning, but Shoaib Bashir took the last wicket to give England a historic victory.
