India defeats Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the opening match of the Women's T20 WC for the blind


Digital Desk: India won the opening Women's T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind, kicking off their campaign. In the first match in New Delhi, the hosts defeated Sri Lanka by a margin of 10 wickets.

The tournament is being attended by six teams, which include India, Sri Lanka, the United States, Nepal, Australia, and Pakistan.


Sri Lanka was held to just 41 runs in 13.3 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat first. Ganga Kadam, Jamuna Rani Tudu, and captain Deepika TC each took a wicket, while India's deft fielding resulted in seven run-outs.

In response, India easily reached 43 without loss in just three overs, chasing down the modest target. With 26 runs off 14 balls and four boundaries, captain Deepika took the lead, and Anekha Devi provided outstanding support with 15 runs off six balls.
