India dominates Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025; Pakistan lodges complaint against India players

Digital Desk: India secured a commanding 7-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025, held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 14, 2025. Chasing a target of 128, India's innings was fueled by a quickfire 31 off 13 balls from Abhishek Sharma and a composed 47-run innings from skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first but struggled against India's bowlers. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel were instrumental in dismantling Pakistan's batting lineup, taking 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya also made significant contributions, dismissing key Pakistani batsmen early on.

In response, India's batting unit chased down the target with ease.

The Pakistan cricket team has lodged a formal protest with the Asian Cricket Council regarding the conduct of the Indian players following their group-stage match in the Asia Cup on Sunday, September 14.

As reported by news agency PTI, the Pakistan Cricket Board has filed a complaint against the Indian team, citing their refusal to shake hands with the Pakistan team at the conclusion of their group stage game.

This lack of handshakes was reportedly observed at both the start and end of the match, with the instance at the toss, where Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav allegedly did not shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Agha, setting the tone.

The report further specifies that Suryakumar and Agha had also refrained from shaking hands at the pre-tournament captain's press conference.
