India vs England Test series to see Rohit Sharma's test captaincy, Post- Champions Trophy win

Digital Desk: After winning the Champions Trophy, Rohit Sharma is anticipated to be India's Test captain for the forthcoming five-match series in England in June. Both the BCCI and the national selection panel have supported him for the tour.

Speculation regarding Rohit's future in Test cricket grew following his troubles in India's home season and a dismal tour of Australia, during which he stood down from the last Test, sparking speculation of a leadership shift. India's strong victory in Dubai has cemented Rohit Sharma's place as captain for the time being.

"Everyone concerned thinks he's the best candidate to lead India on the forthcoming tour of England since he has proven himself on the field. Additionally, Rohit has made it apparent that he wants to keep playing red-ball cricket, a source told The Indian Express.

"I'm having a great time with this team and am in terrific form right now. The team appears to value my presence, which is satisfying, and the mood is upbeat. Although 2027 is too far off to forecast, Rohit told the ICC, I'm keeping all options open."

Rohit is positive about getting back into form despite his recent batting difficulties, and he has kept the door open to playing in the 2027 ODI World Cup.

The timing of the runs is uncertain; it may be two or five months from now. I've played enough cricket to understand how quickly things can change. In his January interview with Star Sports, he stated, I have faith in my abilities and think things can change, but I also have to be realistic."
