Indian Pacer Arshdeep Singh named ICC men's T20I cricketer of the year for 2024

Digital Desk: India's rising star, Arshdeep Singh, has been named the ICC men's T20I cricketer of the year for 2024.

The left-armer got the award following a fantastic 2024 season in which he took 36 wickets in 18 games and played a key role in India's success at the T20 World Cup 2024.

In 2024, Arshdeep being the one with the most wicket-taker in the T20I format, with the best bowling average among the top five full-time ICC bowlers.

Arshdeep is now commanding India's bowling attack in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Arshdeep displayed incredible skill with both the new and old ball in T20I cricket.

Arshdeep spoke with the ICC after receiving the honor, stating that winning the T20 World Cup 2024 was the most memorable aspect of his career.

"It feels amazing to win the ICC T20I men's cricketer of the year title. I am quite grateful. I'm thankful to God. Thank you to everyone who helped bring out the best in me. The special moment was the final, as every Indian would say," Arshdeep told ICC after achieving the award.
