Major Smuggling attempt busted by BSF Meghalaya; seized cattle and other items at International Border

Digital Desk: In a quick and successful operation conducted by vigilant troops from the 193rd Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya foiled a smuggling attempt along the international boundary in the East Khasi Hills district.

BSF personnel intercepted traffickers in the Dulainala border area and seized about ₹27 lakh worth of assorted commodities and animals meant for smuggling into Bangladesh based on intelligence.

Moreover, the seized materials were handed over to the appropriate authorities for future legal action.

By keeping a close eye on the frontiers and stopping any illegal cross-border activity, the BSF is unwavering in its resolve to protect national security.
