Tripura: Deadly Love Triangle kills 28-yr-old, body found in Freezer; Police arrested 6 people in connection
Digital Desk: Horrific incidents have occurred after the Indore couple murder mystery case. Following the case, a 28-year-old (Shariful Islam) body was discovered stuffed into a commercial freezer roughly 112 kilometres away from his house.
Islam, an Agartala occupant, was reported missing on the night of June 8. After three days of frantic searches by his family, authorities discovered his body on June 11, stashed in a freezer inside a shop located in Gandatwisa (previously Gandacherra) in Dhalai district.
The freezer in which the body was stored in the shop is said to be owned by the father of the main accused.
Notably, following the initial probe, Tripura police assessed that the horrible crime was motivated by an agonizing love triangle.
In connection with the crime, the Tripura police arrested six individuals; the main lead in this horrific crime is said to be taken by Dr Dibakar Saha (28).
The other arrested are identified as Jaydip Das (20), Nabanita Das (25), and Animesh Yadav (21).
Furthermore, the investigation found that Jaydip, Nabanita, and Animesh reportedly assisted in the murder and hiding of the body.
Dr. Saha's parents, Dipak Saha (52) and Debika Saha (48) were also arrested for allegedly assisting in the cover-up of the crime.
The West Tripura Superintendent of Police acknowledged that a murder transpired as a result of a romantic rivalry between Shariful, Dr Dibakar Saha, and a woman from Agartala's Chandrapur area.
Shariful, who had lately ended a relationship with a woman, was slain by Dr. Saha, who had only recently begun dating her.
Reportedly, as per the inquiry, SP Kumar revealed that "Shariful was lured to a house in South Indranagar, where he was strangled to death by Dr. Saha with the help of accomplices, Animesh Yadav and Nabanita Das. The body was then taken to Gandatwisa and placed in a commercial freezer owned by Dr. Saha's father, Dipak Saha, to prevent rotting and conceal evidence.
According to the authorities, an investigation is underway, and additional information will be provided soon.
