Mary Kom’s residence in Faridabad burgled; act captured on CCTV footage
Digital Desk: Ace pugilist Mary Kom, while she was away in Meghalaya participating in a marathon event, her home in Faridabad was reportedly broken into.
Unknown thieves reportedly broke into the two-story bungalow, Ibeneser Inn, in Sector 46, after it had been locked for a few days, and took valuables valued at several lakhs.
After Kom's neighbors told her that she was running a marathon in Sohra, Meghalaya, the theft was discovered. "I was meant to return to Delhi today, so I'm anxious, scared, and worried. Earlier this week, the theft occurred, Kom stated.
CCTV footage taken the night of the incident shows suspicious people removing objects from the property, including a television set. In an effort to identify the offenders, the police are now examining the video.
Mary Kom went on to say that it won't be evident how much she had lost until she gets back home.
"I'm not at home. When I get home, I'll know for sure. They are seen removing the TV and other objects in CCTV footage. My neighbors informed me that this occurred on September 24. This took place at my house in Faridabad. I've notified the police," she said.
Police in Faridabad stated that an investigation is in progress and that a case has been filed. Six distinct police units have been formed in response to capture the suspect.
